• This is a comment about HomeTyre generally not Sussex. I had really good Dunlop tyres fitted (£60 each) on my Golf and 13k miles later the front ones are completely smooth on the inner rim. Both my last 2 sets lasted >20k miles. Their "customer service" at HQ basically washed their hands of it and said the alignment could be knocked out any time. I am spreading the word that their aftercare is rubbish if you have a problem.

  I have checked you were not a customer of Hometyre Sussex, so I am suprised to see such comments on my site. But if your tracking had been knocked out due to a Pothole or Kerb hit, then tracking can be knocked out and will result in bad tyre wear. This only goes to show that it you have had a bump, you should have your tracking checked asap - don't leave it until the tyres are worn out.
