• I was extremely shocked at the disparaging and vitriolic comments regarding Outovercott.My family and I have been holidaying with the Bingham's every year for the past 18 years and go specifically for the excellent riding package, from Jim's good humour and attentiveness, quality of the horses and fantastic, varied rides out across the moors.We are all riders of varying proficiency and are matched to horses according to our honesty of claim. I am going to book my holiday for next year straight away without ANY hestitation.

• I would disagree with the above comment - I have ridden with Outovercott for the past 3 years and NEVER had any trouble with either Mr Bingham or the horses. Outovercott is a competent family run business with knowledgeable staff and sound horses. The stables accomodates various abilities of rider from the novice to the experienced as well as various ages. The rider is suited to the horse at the time of arrival and dependent on how YOU rate your riding ability. My son has learned to ride through the guidance of Mr Bingham and he improves everytime we go. The rides are varied in length of time and location as are the horses. Mr Bingham has good knowledge of his horses and in my experience has never riden a horse which is lame or unsuitable for the rider. I WOULD reccomend this family run, experienced stables to anyone who visits Devon. Once youve been to Outovercott, you will want to go back!!

• Do not use this stables 4 very experienced riders (own horses at home) went for a ride here on Exmoor. We didn't go near the moor at all, the tack didn't fit, 2 of the horses needed new shoes, one had a seedy toe and one was lame! Mr Bingham came with us, he shouted at one of us and made her cry, he told us we couldn't ride, (i used to event at BHS intermediate level ) His ability to ride was not good enough to be giving us instruction! He was rude and the ride was chaos! I give this no stars and would not go back again, i feel very sorry for these horses
