Cleckheaton Gearbox Centre

Cleckheaton ripped me off and effectively wrote off my car. After quoting me £1850 to repair/recon my XC90 gearbox they kept the car for months and kept fobbing me off when I called and finally quoted me £5400 to fix it. When I refused they said I had to pay £800 or I couldn't have my car back. After I had paid, they returned my car with the tranmisson and gearbox on the rear cream leather seats. The torque converter was missing all together. The company I had the car tranferred to said there were at least three different types of parts and suggested Ckeckheaton had returned the faulty bits of a few different repairs they had undertaken. The gearbox was unrepairable. It has taken me a year and a half to source another gearbox and get my car back on the road. I've had to buy another one in the meantime! Cleckheaton tried to rip me off, were rude and abusive and quite intimidating when I didn't go along with them. I would recommend anyone considering using them not to. Do a bit of reasearch on them if you do and you'll see I'm not alone in my experience. They are awful!
