About P & S Gallagher

P & S Gallagher is wholly owned and managed by the Gallagher family. Patrick and Sandy Gallagher have between them over 65 years experience in the funeral profession and have lived and worked in Mid Sussex since 1978. Their son Matthew attended school locally in Cuckfield and they established their own business at its present location in Triangle Road, Haywards Heath in 1992, opening additional premises in Burgess Hill town centre opposite St John’s Church in 2010.

P&S Gallagher are proud to offer a truly bespoke service to our clients. As a family owned and managed business we can make a personal commitment to fulfil your wishes on a face to face and individual basis. We can create the widest range of funeral services, memorialisation and monumental stone masonry available across the whole of Sussex and beyond if required.

Mikki Taylor joined Pat and Sandy in early 2000. Mikki has lived locally all of her life and was awarded the Diploma in Funeral Directing in 2002. She is also a member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors. Grahame Green returned to P & S Gallagher as an experienced Funeral Director in 2010. Grahame started his career in the funeral business in 1996 with Pat and Sandy, prior to working as a funeral director near Guildford. Shayne Hilbourne and her family live locally in Haywards Heath, and Shayne joined the team in 2009 after many years of working in the care industry. Shayne is currently training in the IFD College awards.

Matthew Gallagher joined the company in 2011, shortly after the business expanded to additional premises in Burgess Hill in Lower Church Road, and P&S Gallagher is now the only family owned and managed business in the town. As well as arranging and conducting funerals, Matthew is the internal verifier for the IFD College. He is joined in Burgess Hill by Sue Vickery who has worked within the business for several years.

Both sets of premises are spacious and comfortably furnished, and offer an informal environment to discuss and finalise any funeral or memorial arrangements. Should anyone prefer these discussions to take place in the privacy of their own homes, we are only too pleased to accommodate their wishes.

We are proud to offer Golden Charter Pre-paid Funeral Plans to our local community, and are available for an informal and obligation free discussion about future funeral arrangements at any time.

We are members of The Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors, operating within a strict code of practice, and endeavour under all circumstances to provide full and correct information about all of the services that are available to you. Our aim is to listen to and treat you with respect and courtesy in an effort to meet your personal needs and to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the quality of service that we are able to provide. Our intention is to offer a comprehensive service at costs tailored to our clients’ requirements, with office facilities and personal visits available seven days a week until late evening and beyond, if required.
