About Stonehaven Horizon
Our main aim is to improve the local environment and so make Stonehaven a pleasanter place in which to live and to visit.
Stonehaven Horizon consists of a group of volunteers from local organisations and members of the public who are committed to improving the appearance of Stonehaven.
Since the group was formed in 2004 we have been involved in various projects such as providing and maintaining the town's many floral displays, working with the Stonehaven schools' Eco Groups and regular community litter picks.
In the past few years Stonehaven Horizon has been awarded two Good Neighbourhood awards, a Silver medal in 2008, and Gold in 2009. This year we have entered the premier competition - Beautiful Scotland, in the coastal resort category.
We meet in the Invercarron Resource Centre, Low Wood Road at 7pm on the 3rd Monday of each month , new members welcome!
